I rise to recognise the first Elevated Culture Festival to be held in Liverpool. Growing from 13 schools in 2023 in Mount Druitt to 33 schools this year across both locations, this event is a platform for children and our school communities to celebrate culture, connection and community. It was inspiring to see students from local schools across Liverpool perform with such confidence and pride, with cultural representatives, community leaders and service providers watching on in admiration. I thank the students who shared their incredible talent, the families who came out to support them, and the teachers and principals whose dedication made these performances possible. I also thank Ray Savaiinaea and the team at Elevated Culture Foundation for bringing this festival to Liverpool. It has truly showcased what makes our community unique, diverse and vibrant. This year also broadened the range of talents on display. Congratulations to Leyda from Busby West Public School and Maddison from Liverpool Girls High School on winning the visual art competition. This festival is a wonderful reminder of the talent, diversity, and strong community spirit that define Liverpool.
