I rise to recognise the outstanding achievement of Freeman Dance Co from Freeman Catholic College, who recently placed first in the Hip Hop category at the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod. This impressive result reflects the talent, hard work and dedication of every student involved. Throughout the year, the ensemble committed countless hours to developing and refining their performance, demonstrating remarkable teamwork, discipline and creativity. The students' passion for dance was on full display as they delivered a polished and energetic routine that earned them top honours in a highly competitive competition. Their success is a testament to their perseverance, commitment and willingness to strive for excellence. I hear that this year marks Miss Camilleri's first as dance coach, and what a start! Special mention to choreographers Madeline Fulton and Valentina Leonello, and Miss Cassells and Ms Benjamin for their BTS support. Achievements like this showcase the incredible talent within our local schools and provide young people with valuable opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills and express themselves creatively.
