I am proud to recognise the outstanding efforts of the students and staff at Green Valley Public School, whose Student Representative Council led a creative and compassionate bottle collection and class donation fundraiser in Term 4 last year in support of Miracle Babies. Miracle Babies Foundation supports premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them, especially in south-west Sydney. With the whole school community behind them, the initiative raised over $700 for families with vulnerable newborns — a powerful reminder that small, everyday actions can create meaningful change when we work together. It's truly inspiring to see young people learning the values of empathy, service and giving back. I especially commend the SRC members who organised the collections and motivated their peers, as well as every student who contributed along the way. Congratulations to everyone involved for turning kindness into impact, your efforts have made a real difference. With a new SRC in place for 2026, I look forward to seeing what they achieve next!
