As a proud supporter and sponsor, I want to acknowledge the incredible work of the Hinchinbrook Hornets Junior Rugby League Club. The Hornets are more than just a footy club. They are a vital part of our local community, helping to shape young players both on and off the field. Clubs like the Hornets play a huge role in building community links and the development of our children. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Winnal Reserve to catch the Hornets in action during their "Blue for You" round. This special initiative was dedicated to raising awareness and funds for mental health through Beyond Blue. It was a powerful reminder of how sport can be a platform for connection, resilience and positive change. Special congratulations to the Under 13s on an outstanding 61 to 20 victory, which I was able to catch. It was a top-tier performance and a joy to watch. A special thank you to Hornets' President, Rod Dredge, and Secretary Amanda Moore, who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the club strong. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and I look forward to working with you to take the club to new heights!
