Loribelle Spirovski

04 June 2026

From a visual arts classroom at Bonnyrigg High School to the walls of the Archibald Prize, Loribelle Spirovski's journey is one that our community can be incredibly proud of. Loribelle won the 2025 Archibald Prize People's Choice Award for her portrait of William Barton and returned in 2026 as an Archibald finalist with her portrait of Daniel Johns. Her success is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her talent, dedication and creativity. After emigrating from the Philippines, Loribelle attended Bonnyrigg High School, where her passion for art flourished. Supported by her teachers and encouraged to pursue her talents, she found both inspiration and opportunity through the public education system. The school's art room became a place where her artistic abilities could grow and develop. Today, Loribelle is recognised as one of Australia's leading portrait artists. Her achievements serve as an inspiration to young people across Liverpool. Her story is a real life example of how creative aspirations can be achieved with perseverance, and a village of support. Congratulations Loribelle on your outstanding success, I wish you the best in your personal and professional endeavours in the years ahead!
