Mai Nguyen

Tonight I am pleased to recognise the outstanding contribution of Mai Nguyen, patient experience manager at Liverpool Hospital. Mai recently completed a three-month secondment with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of New South Wales and the Health Professional Councils Authority, gaining valuable insight into how the nursing and midwifery professions are regulated and how agencies work together to uphold patient safety. This experience has equipped Mai with new knowledge and skills that she now brings back to Liverpool Hospital, strengthening the support provided to both patients and staff and helping to further improve patient experience across our community. Mai often helps people who have been through an awful time of their life, are navigating illness or are caring for someone who is unwell. She helps ensure that their experiences improve our health system. My office often works closely with Mai when assisting local residents to navigate the health system, and she is consistently professional, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Mai's dedication reflects the very best of Liverpool's healthcare workforce, and I thank her for her ongoing efforts.
