For two decades, the Mandaean Women's Union has played an invaluable role in supporting Mandaean women and families, preserving cultural traditions, promoting community participation and fostering social cohesion across south‑west Sydney and beyond. Through its dedication to education, advocacy, charitable initiatives and cultural programs, the organisation has empowered countless women to contribute to their communities while maintaining a strong connection to their heritage. The Mandaean community is an important part of the rich multicultural fabric of Liverpool, and the Mandaean Women's Union has been at the forefront of strengthening that contribution through leadership, service and community engagement. The milestone is a testament to the vision, commitment and hard work of the union's founders, past and present leaders, volunteers and members. I particularly thank founders Nedhal Amir and Saba Al-Khamisee for the warm invitation to join the celebration. Their efforts have created lasting opportunities for women and helped build a stronger, more inclusive community for future generations. I congratulate the Mandaean Women's Union on its twentieth anniversary and wish the organisation continued success in the years ahead.
