Faith and family are deeply significant to many families in south-west Sydney. The recent Hajj Awareness Day held at Minarah College provided students with a meaningful opportunity to deepen their understanding of one of the most important pillars of their Islamic faith. This special event allowed students to reflect on the spiritual significance, values and sacred rituals of Hajj while strengthening their appreciation for faith, community and compassion. Programs like this play an important role in fostering cultural understanding and supporting students to remain connected to their beliefs and traditions. It was wonderful to see students engaging so thoughtfully throughout the day and embracing the lessons and values shared with them. Minarah College continues to provide students with opportunities to grow not only academically, but also spiritually and personally. I commend the staff and school community for organising such an enriching initiative and helping nurture a strong sense of faith, identity and belonging among their students.
