I acknowledge and celebrate Nina Lay, who after almost eight years is handing over Cecil Hills' much-loved cafe Mili and Co to the next generation. Starting a small business is always a leap of faith, especially a cafe where expectations are high and competition is strong. Under Nina's leadership, Mili and Co has become a true community favourite and a regular meeting place for so many locals. I have always enjoyed stopping in for a great meal, coffee and a chat. Nina has guided Mili and Co through an incredibly challenging period for her family and for small businesses across the State. She weathered the global pandemic, welcomed her first child—who arrived early—and later celebrated the birth of her second. As Mili and Co begins a new chapter, it is wonderful to know the same friendly team will remain behind the counter. I thank Nina for the wonderful coffee, the warm service and the many smiles she has brought to the Cecil Hills community. I hope she enjoys the extra time with her beautiful family.
