Phuoc Hue Temple has served the needs of the Buddhist community across NSW for decades, and I recently had the privilege of joining thousands of residents at the Temple for Vietnamese New Year's Eve celebrations. It was a unifying and uplifting event, filled with colour, tradition and a deep sense of togetherness. More than 10,000 people attended, a remarkable turnout that reflects not only the significance of Lunar New Year but also the vibrancy of the Vietnamese community in the Liverpool electorate. Their commitment to culture, family and faith enriches our city and strengthens the social fabric we all share. The warmth and generosity shown by temple leaders, volunteers and families created an atmosphere that welcomed everyone, regardless of background. It was a powerful reminder of how cultural celebrations bring our community together and help us better understand one another. I thank the Phuoc Hue Temple community for their hospitality and look forward to continuing to support their work and encourage residents to take part in future celebrations that showcase the rich diversity of our electorate.
