The Liverpool Artist in the Spotlight series continues to celebrate and showcase the incredible creative talent we have in South West Sydney. Currently featured in my office foyer are five stunning acrylic landscape paintings by a new member of the Liverpool Art Society, Samantha Murphy. Samantha has been passionate about art for as long as she can remember, creating from a young age and always seeking new ways to express herself. Recently, she has turned her attention to capturing the natural beauty of landscapes, drawing inspiration from the breathtaking views she encounters while hiking. Her work beautifully reflects the tranquillity and wonder of nature, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the world around them. Painting is more than a hobby for Samantha. Like many artists, she finds it deeply therapeutic, a way to channel emotion, memory, and presence onto canvas. Her love for the natural world shines through in every piece.
